Venue

We've moved! To help us celebrate in style and accommodate all the new additions to the RamJam revelry, we've moved to a new larger and wonderfully equipped venue. As RamJam has outgrown the Farm, we've listened to what you fans want and found the perfect spot that keeps the natural landscape and chill vibe that makes RamJam so unique while offering expanded amenities and entertainment. Where’s the new venue you might ask? Uncle Bob's Western Corral – Fair Hill, Maryland
Uncle Bob’s is only a hop, skip and jump from the original RamJam location and can accommodate our gathering for years to come. It is about a 20 minute drive from Newark, DE, and a little over an hour from Baltimore and Philadelphia. Located on 250 beautiful acres of farm land, Uncle Bob has hosted such notable gathers as Hank Williams Jr and Southern Rock Woodstock. The venue provides ample camping and parking accommodations for all of our attendees as well as a pavilion and concession area. |

Camping
This year RamJam is offering two camping options: Family, and General Admission. The campgrounds will open up at 10am Saturday, May 5th for Family and General Admission campers. All campgrounds will close at Noon on Sunday, May 6th.
Unfortunately, car-side camping will not be possible due to the terrain. Make sure to pack light as you might not want to make too many trips back to your car! Less trips means more time enjoying the performances and festival hupla. Rest assured that nobody will have to walk more than a quarter mile to get anywhere. Also, please make sure all valuables are out of sight or leave them at home.
This is a camping event. Hence you should bring everything you would for a camping trip:
- Your buddies!
- Tents, sleeping bags, mats, blankets
- Clothing suitable for various weather conditions (RamJam will happen rain or shine, so please be prepared in case the day turns out to be a wet one. Conversely, be prepared in case it is hot and sticky during the day or chilly at night.)
- Illumination facilitators for the dark (flashlights, head lamps, glow sticks)
- Toiletries: extra toilet paper, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, bug spray
- A positive energy and your dancing shoes.
- Cooler for food only (please keep In mind that outside beverages are not allowed in the festival ground)
- Portable grills are allowed at your camp site, but we prohibit starting your own camp or bonfire. RamJam’s got that one covered. Trust me.
- A wagon or wheel barrel. They work awesome for carrying your gear to your campsite!
When situating your spot, please allow for reasonable space between campsites for emergency vehicles to pass through. We appreciate everyone’s support in helping us keep RamJam safe!
Parking
In the spirit of Mother Earth and the cozy pleasures of riding with friends, we encourage all to carpool to the event. However, this year, ample parking will be available just a short walk from the camping and performance areas. All tickets purchased include parking for the event. RV/Heavy camping tickets are also available in limited quantities for $20 per vehicle, and must be purchased in addition to a regular ticket. There is no rentry to the festival grounds so please make sure you bring everything you need.
Parking for general admission and family will open at 11am Saturday, May 5th.
Families and Kids
We're pleased to announce our first year of family camping! It will be a quieter camp ground with an early noise cutoff, less people, and other music loving families! In addition children 12 and under will be given free admission (when accompanied by a paying adult).
Looking for some family friendly hands on activity at RamJam? Check out LambJam! Our kids tent is where it’s at for arts and crafts, musical free play, imagination, and fun. Come play some Boomwhackers, decorate a guitar, shake a tambourine, color outside the lines, try your hand at a hula a hoop, paint our life-sized teepee, or learn to play the piano. At 1:30pm, Nature Jams will be hosting a kids song sing-a-long. We’re located in the bottom of the field. Come check it out!
Food
Food vendors will be available this year serving typical festival fare. Expect the usual comfort foods like burgers, hot dogs, and grilled cheese as well as other [insert food option]. As always, all of these things will be available at reasonable prices.
Our Vendor list:
Soon to be announced.
Facilities
This year there will be an abundance of porta-potties and wash stations available around the grounds for attendees to use. Also, there are extremely limited running water options available and no showers.
There will also be ample trash cans available. Please help keep our festival clean and pick up all trash you may produce.
Medical
As in previous years, there will be trained medical staff on site. If you or a friend are injured, dehydrated, or just feeling ill just find a RamJam staff member of volunteer and we will send a medic to assist you.
Rules
Ideally there'd be no rules, but we all know how crazy you kids get. In the interest of keeping things somewhat civil there are some rules.
The Basics:
- While they are far away, there are neighbors, so don't wander out of the festival grounds.
- This is a farm, and as a result there are plenty of horses nearby, and even a few wild animals. We care deeply for them. Please don't feed, pet, talk to, molest, or play jai lai with the local animals.
- We love Uncle Bob’s because it's a beautiful place. A big part of RamJam is to share this special place with you. Please keep it beautiful so we can keep on sharing it. Throw out your trash. Trashcans and trashbags will be available throughout the grounds.
The following items will not be allowed into the Festival grounds:
- Pets are not permitted on festival grounds this year
- Fireworks
- Weapons of any kind
- Outside Beverages
Finally, please use common sense. If it seems like a bad idea, then don't do it. The RamJam staff will be carefully enforcing these rules. Please respect them. Our goal is to be flexible, while keeping everyone safe and happy. While we will do everything to avoid it, individuals who can't play by the rules will be asked (forced) to leave.
Beverage Policy
Uncle Bob does have a liquor license for his property and needs to provide all alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. We don't want him losing his license and ask everyone not to bring in personal beverages of any type. There will be an off-duty police officer at the entrance inspecting coolers to make sure no beverages get into the festival site. Uncle Bob's will have a full bar with a nice selection of beer and other drinks offered at low prices ($2-$3/drink). Because they also have a package license, you will be able to buy beer to bring back to your campsite at night. Bottled water and soda will be sold for $1 a bottle. There will be water available at night after the bar closes.
What beers will they be serving?

Why can't we bring in non-alcoholic beverages?
Unfortunately, Uncle Bob's has had bad experiences with people sneaking in alcohol in other containers. RamJam will insure that Uncle Bob's provides a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages. We will also insure that medics will have an ample supply of water and will be roaming the grounds keeping people properly hydrated.
Do you really need off-duty police to search for beer?
Uncle Bob's hires local off-duty police only to help them regulate beverages at the gate and to deter any serious incidents (weapons/fights). While historically, RamJam has never had issues with this, it is a growing event and we want to make sure there are no incidents in the future. This small police presence keeps things safe and civil. RamJam will be providing our own security staff to keep everyone happy and safe inside the festival grounds.
This sucks. Why would I want to come to RamJam if I can't bring my own booze?
While we understand that this policy might upset some people, we honestly feel that RamJam is more about the music, performances, arts, and people, than about drinking large amounts of alcohol. Remember, you can drink a case of beer at home, but where else can you see so many great performers, camp out for the night, and still have money in your wallet on Monday? The new venue has allowed us to spend a lot more time focusing on alternative entertainment, decorations for the grounds, and food and craft vendors. We are confident this will be the best RamJam yet, and you don't want to miss it.
